Ivy, with over 15 years in the business, maintains a very loyal client following. She has extensive education in both coloring and cutting, and gives a mean blowout. In the mid 90’s, Ivy worked as a hair color educator for the Eugene Perma Paris Company. Ivy is passionate about natural health and alternative medicine and has been a birth doula for five years. She’s also very interested in modern design and art, is full of energy, and is always good for an idea.

Lauren, originally from the Chicago area, moved to Denver in 2009 and has been loving the Colorado lifestyle ever since.  Lauren began her journey as a stylist in 2004 and has had extensive private education since then with a focus on furthering her skills as a colorist and haircutter.  Lauren’s taste is exquisite and anything she does will reflect her attention to detail and design. Whether your hair is long and flowing or shorter with an edge, curly or straight, Lauren has the range, experience and vision to help you create your best look. Lauren is high fashion girl with fabulous skills along side all the charms and friendliness of the midwest. At heart, she’s a nature-loving, down to earth girl with a sunny outlook and a passion for all things fashion. BETSY HOROWITZ: Lead Stylist

A New Yorker at heart and Los Angelino by birth, Betsy is caught  between her attraction to the aesthetics and beauty of the big city and sane lifestyle and pace of a small town.  She has found the perfect balance of it here in Denver.  Betsy was educated at Vidal Sassoon in precision cutting in Los Angeles, trained by an East Village rock and roller in New York, moved to a small town in North Carolina and finally landed here at Emerge Modern Salon to pursue her craft.  She loves all things balanced from her Libran rising, color that soothes the soul, and beautiful, sculpted and textured hair.  She is passionate about the health of hair and educates her clients about how to care for their own hair. With her laid back and thoughtful personality, you will experience her attention to the individual, and her love of beauty, education and life. You’ll know her by her easy laugh and warm and welcoming  smile.

MORGAN LUCE: Emerging Stylist

With a hairdresser as a mom and starting as a salon receptionist at 14 years old, Morgan had hairstyling in her blood. Starting her schooling in 2007,  she also worked and trained as an assistant for a successful stylist for over a year before starting at EMS in 2009. With her warmth, enthusiasm and easy professionalism we knew we had to have her on our Emerge team. Since starting here she has completed an intensive hands on training course and exceeded expectations at every step.  In her chair you will experience complete attention and excellent service from a friendly, charming girl whose talent and sexy, sassy style shine through every look. She is also famous for her amazing shampoos! This fun loving mama will take great care of you!

KELLY McGOWAN: Emerging Stylist

A Texan at heart, Kelly has lived many places but has finally landed, and is now making a home with her lovely family, here in Colorado. She attended the University of Arizona until she decided to follow her dream to become the stylist she was meant to be. She was highly trained while attending the prestigious Kohler Academy in Phoenix. A natural achiever, Kelly was on the Presidents Honor Roll, the Kohler Dream Team, as well as the National Technical Honor Society during her schooling. She had the extraordinary opportunity to work with Ted Gibson at an AACS event in Arizona.  Kelly has tremendous creativity, talent and passion for all things beautiful. She has had extensive experience behind the scenes of the editorial circuit styling hair and doing makeup for photo shoots, advertising campaigns, as well as film shoots. She is comfortable working with all hair types, especially ethnic hair, with a leaning toward natural styles, cuts and braids. While in Kelly’s chair, you will feel nurtured, honored and at ease and are guaranteed to leave her chair with exquisitely designed hair and makeup. Come and see what Kelly can do!

MEGAN HUBBELL: Manicurist

As a manicurist of over 15 years, salon manager and Ivy’s bff, Megan is our can-do-it-all girl. From picture perfect nails, a soothing hand massage, beautifully shaped brows or a fabulous shampoo, service is #1 for Megan. Her clients return time and again and know they’ll get the best possible treatment. Megan also makes sure our salon runs smoothly, is perfectly stocked and keeps us all sane. And, somehow, she does it all with a wonderful, open spirit! Megan brings her contagious smile, high standards, and a terrific sense of style with her every time she walks in the door. Megan is also a mom of 2,  an avid reader, a great cook and a mountain girl at heart. If there is anything that you need during your visit to EMS, Megan is sure to be at your service!
