Meet our founder – Ivy Overby

When I opened Emerge Modern Salon in January of 2009, I envisioned a collective of artists and beauty professionals working in collaboration and compassion rather than competition. I imagined a team that would intentionally practice their craft together in a respectful, openhearted environment. I understood that the foundation of this dream would be empowerment, connectedness, and trust.

I am proud to say that this vision continues to live and breathe today. Our team operates in these values in a way that can be felt the moment you walk through our doors.

Together, we have built a culture rooted in the belief that beauty is not only what we see on the outside, but also how we treat ourselves, one another, and our precious earth in the process.

Over time, our work has naturally expanded beyond the salon. We also host energy wellness events including yoga, breathwork, and sound baths, and we are always looking for new ways to elevate and magnify our collective impact as a community.

What was true in 2009 is still true today—you can feel the love in our space. Come in and experience it for yourself.
